Apprentice AAT Accounting Technician
Based in Hedon, East Yorkshire – Full Time
We are looking for a full-time AAT Apprentice Accounting Technician to join our friendly professional team. The job is based in our office at Hedon on a permanent basis.
The lucky applicant will work with a fantastic, friendly team who provide a great service to our clients. You will help prepare our client’s year end accounts and tax returns whilst also supporting our bookkeeping department. Most of your apprenticeship is spent working and learning on the job by getting hands-on experience. The apprenticeship include time away from the office for specialist training to help you gain professional knowledge and skills.
Key aspects of the role include:
• Supporting managers with clients and a range of services
• Support clients and colleagues with digital bookkeeping and VAT services
• Reconcile financial data and bank statements
• Accounts preparation and analysis for a range of clients
• Tax Computations, Corporation Tax and self-assessment Tax Return preparation
• Assist with production of accurate financial data
• Assist with the investigation and response to financial information queries
• Investigate, resolve or escalate transactional queries and errors within your remit
• Assisting other team members where possible
• Ad-hoc office administration work when needed
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and clients
The ideal person
This great position for an enthusiastic individual who has an interest in accountancy and provides a fantastic opportunity for the right person to obtain a highly regarded AAT qualification whilst earning a salary.
The position would suit an individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills. They will be willing to learn and able to interact effectively with clients and colleagues, be diligent in their work and have a positive and enthusiastic approach to their roles and career development.
If you are interested in joining us, then you will need to have at least 5 GCSE’s at level 5 or above (or equivalent) including Maths and English.
