Administrative Assistant

Due to continued expansion we are looking for an individual to join our friendly professional team. This role is a permanent position based in our offices in Hedon, East Yorkshire.
We are committed to provide an outstanding service to our clients and we are looking for a motivated individual to work within our team to provide us with in house and client administration support.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone wanting to develop a new role in our office. We are an established accounting practice, known for nurturing and developing staff.

Key aspects of the role include:
• Supporting our practice manager with general office duties.
• Provide some bookkeeping services to clients.
• Answering phones.
• Greeting clients as they arrive at reception.
• On-boarding of new clients.
• Managing office post.
• Organising stationery and supplies.
• Overseeing archive records and supporting with a paperless future.
• Undertake ad hoc projects and support as required.

The ideal person
• Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent verbal skills to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
• Experience with answering phones.
• Excellent computer skills, including Word and Excel.
• Strong organisational skills, can prioritise tasks and work to deadlines
• Adaptable to new situations and challenges

Qualified Accountant

We are a forward-thinking growing accountancy practice, and are looking for a full-time AAT/ACA/ACCA qualified / part qualified Accountant (or equivalent) to join our friendly professional team in Hedon on a permanent basis. We offer a competitive salary, staff benefits and study support and more.

This role is office based in Hedon and would suit a motivated professional, looking for a new role to develop in a growing and dynamic firm. Reporting to the Directors, the Accountant will support small and medium-sized business clients with key tax, management and financial accounts reporting work.

Key aspects of the role include:
• Supporting a portfolio of clients with a range of services.
• Prepare accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
• Preparing corporation and individual tax returns.
• Build positive relationships with clients and address queries promptly.
• Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal procedures.
• Undertake ad hoc projects and support as required.

The ideal person
The ideal candidate will be qualified or part qualified through AAT/ACA/ACCA or equivalent, with at least three years experience in an accountancy practice environment. They will have practical experience of undertaking tax and year end accounts work and be confident in working with relevant software.

The position would suit a dynamic professional, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. They will be able to interact effectively with clients and colleagues at all levels, be diligent in their reporting and have a positive and enthusiastic approach to their work and career development.

AAT Apprentice Accounting Technician

We are looking for a full-time AAT Apprentice Accounting Technician to join our friendly professional team. The job is based in our offices in Hedon on a permanent basis.
The lucky applicant will work with a fantastic, friendly team who provide a great service to our clients. You will help prepare our client’s year end accounts and tax returns whilst also supporting our bookkeeping department.

Key aspects of the role include:
• Supporting managers with clients and a range of services
• Support client and colleagues with bookkeeping and VAT services
• Bank Reconciliations
• Accounts preparation and analysis for a range of clients
• Tax Computations, Corporation Tax and self-assessment Tax Return preparation
• Assisting other team members where possible with Ad-hoc work when needed

The ideal person
This great position for an enthusiastic individual who has an interest in accountancy and provides a fantastic opportunity for the right person to obtain a highly regarded AAT qualification whilst earning a salary.

AAT Part Qualified Technician

We are looking for a full-time AAT level 3 or 4 part qualified Accounting Technician (or equivalent experience) to join our friendly professional team. The job is based in our office in Hedon on a permanent basis.
As an Accounting Technician you will play a vital role in supporting managers and colleagues with financial accounts and tax return preparation and supporting clients with bookkeeping and VAT services all while meeting deadlines.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone wanting to progress in an accounting career with an established training practice, known for nurturing and developing its staff.

• Supporting managers with clients and a range of services.
• Provide bookkeeping and VAT services to clients.
• Prepare accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.

The ideal person
We are looking for someone who has started their AAT at L3 or L4 and has a minimum of 2 years’ experience in an accountancy practice role and experience using software such as IRIS, Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks.

The position would suit an individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills. They will be able to interact effectively with clients and colleagues, be diligent in their work and have a positive and enthusiastic approach to their roles and career development.
